Just having a quick break from cleaning out Gracie's room.
Happy New Year
to anyone who bothers reading.
I am sitting here listening to the divine Alison Krauss singing a song called 'Slumber My Darling', backed by Yo Yo Ma! I am transported. Egads she has been blessed with a fantastic voice.
We are still in a holiday mode here at the Morris abode. Well, except for the poor Darlinge, who had to go back to work this past Monday.
As of last Tuesday, I am 44. YECH! and not YECH. It's not all bad, I still have some black hair left. It's just above my neck, under the sea of gray. Heh. Gracie pointed it out the other day when I had my hair in a ponytail. From the way she pointed and screeched, I thought I had a spider on the my back of my neck or something. No, just the shock of seeing her own colour of hair on my head.
"Yes Gracie, I had the same colour hair as you. Once..."
I also need a haircut soon. It's been about a year..
Darlinge and I haven't really 'celebrated' our wedding anniversary, Christmas or birthdays this eay, due to being skint, and a desire to see the children get somethings before we did.
But soon the last of our wretched real estate deals will be done and dusted. Once settlement takes place, we'll do a little something.
His little something is free reign at the Military Simulations store at Cancon 2009 on the Aussie long weekend. My little something will be at Wrapped in Paper and Adore Tea at Gold Creek. There will also be a joint order from Amazon (as to get all G&S), I've got them on the list..
There is a great Benjamin Franklin biography and a few geeky purchases such as Carl Sagan, Neil Gamain and some photography books. Phwoar!
Right, that's enough of the goofing off. Back to Gracie's room.
Still can't seem to master the cut and paste from icanhazcheezburger though. Mebbe they're anti Firefox?
If ever you are in need of a moodlift go here. That is unless you really don't like cats...
